Jutta Koeglmeier

Jutta Koeglmeier is a paediatric Gastroenterologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, where she is clinical lead for the Unit of Nutrition and Intestinal Failure Rehabilitation.

Following qualification in Germany, Jutta has spent her years as a junior doctor in Birmingham, Manchester and Yorkshire and moved to London in 2004 for higher specialist training in paediatric Gastroenterology. Jutta worked there as specialist registrar at the Royal London Hospital, Great Ormond Street, King’s College Hospital and the Royal Free. She took up her first Consultant position at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 2007 where she developed a strong interest in nutrition and intestinal failure rehabilitation. She moved to Great Ormond Street three years later and is leading the nutrition service for children there. Jutta is a member of the European Society of paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) committee of nutrition since 2019 and has been the chair of the Network for Intestinal Failure Rehabilitation and Transplantation in Europe (NITE) special interest group for many years. She cares for a large number of children requiring inpatient and long term home parenteral nutrition including those with short bowel syndrome due the NEC.
