Nigel Hall is a Paediatric Surgeon in Southampton and a researcher at the University of Southampton. He has first-hand experience of the medical and surgical treatment of babies who sadly develop NEC and a strong advocate for raising awareness of NEC. He has been involved in NEC research for over 15 years having done his doctoral thesis on NEC at the University of London. He currently leads a research team running projects to improve prevention of NEC and improve outcomes of those babies who develop the disease. He is delighted to support with work of NEC-UK
